Fundraising is a necessary part of making a performance and a very important way to sustain and support your work. In this Fundraising Workshop we will help you to identify and engage with new grants and funding bodies. You will learn how to create a cohesive funding application, a target audience, a budget and marketing plan to outreach your audiences.

FOCUS OF THE WORKSHOP:

  • How to develop skills in fundraising and demystify the grant writing process.

  • How to identify and engage with new funders, charities, and organizations.

  • Creating a cohesive and achievable fundraising plan. 

  • Breaking down the application process and giving practical tips on how to write the application.

  • How to identify the target audience for your projects.

  • How to write a budget plan.

THE TEACHER

The session is led by the fundraiser Miriam Sherwood.

Miriam Sherwood is a fundraiser, producer and theatre-maker and Development Manager at CLOD ENSEMBLE. As an arts fundraiser her experience is chiefly in securing funding from Trusts, Foundations and Statutory sources. She has fundraised for larger organisations like Battersea Arts Centre (as Development Manager from 2016-2018), smaller arts charities and artist-led companies like Fairbeats Music and Honeyscribe, and for her own live performance projects as an independent artist.

PRICES

We currently run workshops for half a day, full day or a week long masterclasses. Prices start at £400 + practitioners’ expenses (travel, per diems and accommodation if required).
